OUR NAME:

"Founded by an entertainer, teacher, and health educator, B & A Entertainment Services, Inc. is committed to promoting healthier communities by providing services and programs to the economically disadvantaged targeting minorities with volunteer programs that include community health and wellness, prevention, education and collaboration for individuals, businesses and families in need. The "B" stands for Ballard and the "A" stand for Aubrey. W. Cheryl Ballard and George Aubrey originally formed a For-Profit: "B & A Entertainment, Inc."  Later they decided that a non-profit would be appropriate for all the charitable programs Cheryl was implementing. Hence, the "Services" was added to the B & A" name and we were incorporated on May 22, 2013.

OUR TOP ADMINISTRATORS:

LINDA HALEY WILLIS, PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD

CHERYL BALLARD, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/CEO

Driven by both personal loss and unwavering hope, Cheryl and Linda have dedicated several decades to advancing breast cancer prevention and early detection. Having lost beloved relatives and close friends to this devastating disease, they carry their memory into every initiative they lead and every woman they educate. As the top administrators of B & A Entertainment Services, their work at the grassroots level is not just professional—it is deeply personal. With compassion, determination, and a vision for a future where fewer families endure the heartbreak of breast cancer, they champion education, equity, access, and innovation so that early detection saves lives.

B & A Has received the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Senator Jack Rosen, Key to the Las Vegas Strip from the County Commissioners, and the Minority Equity Award from Nevada Cancer Coalition for reaching hundreds of women in underserved and low-income communities and navigating them to mammogram and cervical cancer screenings and vital community resources.

Our programs are planned and implemented by volunteer Community Health Workers. Six of our CHW's graduated on June 1, 2024 and have received their certification as CHW1's by the State Certification Board and completed 40 hours of training approved by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health.
